Jordan Flight Flex Trainer: Sport Blue Infrared 23

There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that the marquee item that brings people back to JB time and time again are their retro models, but that has allowed for the Jumpman to branch out in a number of ways. Whether it be the lifestyle looks in the Jordan Shine and Jordan Future, or the need to be taken seriously as a performance sports brand, the company continues to innovate. The Jordan Flight Flex Trainer is one of those models that’s helped imprint the Jumpman logo on training and the latest colorway is vibrant to say the least. Utilizing that upcoming Sport Blue color on the upper, Infrared 23 makes for an interesting combination. What do you think? Be sure to check out more images of the latest Jordan Flight Flex Trainer after the click and stay tuned for a stateside release date in the near future.

Air Jordan Future: Grey – Sport Blue

July 24th, 2014 By

Air Jordan Future: Grey Sport Blue

The Jordan Future has rarely referenced other signature colorways in the Jordan Brand catalogue. There was always the black/infrared launch colorway, but the usual thought process behind the sneaker is to outfit the lifestyle look in a monochromatic hue for a simple, understated aesthetic. That all changes with this release though, as the seamless mesh upper ditches the woven material while a pure platinum covers most of the sneaker. Add in accents of that Sport Blue, a color we’ll be seeing a lot this August, on the outsole and and this pair proves that JB plans on mixing things up for the sneaker in the near future. What do you think? Hit the gallery for more images and grab this pair before a release date pops up via b312n on eBay.

Michael Jordan’s Record $33 Million 1997 Bulls Contract Goes to Auction

Michael Jordans Record $33 Million 1997 Bulls Contract Goes to Auction

Michael Jordan set a number of records in the NBA, but one that the business man in MJ is probably most proud of is garnering the most expensive contract in the league’s history – a record that still stands today. During the 1997-1998 season, Mike took home $33 million from one season of basketball, one that proved worth it as the Chicago Bulls brought home their 6th championship. The original contract is signed by Michael Jordan and the former Bulls general manager in Jerry Krause. According to ESPN, if you factor in inflation, that $33 million MJ made would be worth upwards of $49 million today. Hit the click for more info on this legendary piece of paper and head over to Heritage Auctions to start your bidding (that is if you have about $25,000 laying around).

Jordan Flight ’97

July 24th, 2014 By

Jordan Flight 97

Jordan Brand continues to bring us new silhouettes beyond their current retro rotation, new signatures for their athletes, and the lifestyle tendencies of the likes of the Jordan Future and Jordan Shine. What’s left is models that are somewhat hybrids like the recently released Jordan Future Flight Remix, but don’t necessarily have the following that other JB releases have. And while the brand has seemingly cut back on releasing sneakers like this, today we get a look at the Jordan Flight ’97, a sneaker that is reminiscent of the SC-3 but gets a midfoot strap and an Air Jordan 3 outsole. Add in a gradient on the ankle support with vibrant yellow to black and the pair definitely has an interesting look. What do you think? Hit the click for more from the new sneaker and know that you can grab a pair today via Caliroots.

A Detailed Look at the Public School x Air Jordan 1

July 23rd, 2014 By

A Detailed Look at the Public School x Air Jordan 1

The Air Jordan 1 has been branching out for the past year or so. It all started when the brand reintroduced the classic ‘Nike Air’ branding atop the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG and from there, despite a bevy of new colorways, the old school traditionalism of the model caught people’s attentions with a number of retro releases. Then there was the Nike SB three part series (of which we’re still waiting on a look at the third creation). Now it looks like Dao Yi-Chow and Maxwell Osborne of Public School will get a crack at the legendary sneaker with the Air Jordan 1 “PSNY”. With a premium black leather on the upper, the cement speckling on the midsole is a nice addition to contrast with an icy outsole. The bottom even sees a red insert reminiscent of those TEDx Portland one-offs. While this set of detailed images is strictly of the Family and Friends release, there’s rumored to be a slightly different take on this pair set to release at Jordan Brand’s Flight 23 Flagship. Hit the click for more and let us know if you’re feeling this pair in the comments.
