The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG: “NYC” Releases Tomorrow

The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG: NYC Releases Tomorrow

And you though that the Air Jordan 1 “Jeter” was the only surprisingly exclusive AJ1 release to hit this week without any past announcements. It now looks like that Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “NYC” will be releasing tomorrow, September 18th, 2014. That makes two New York City themed pairs of Mike’s first signature sneaker releasing this week, but they both accomplish it in very different ways. This pair opts for a premium leather and nubuck construction in an ominous black while cement speckling hits the midsole. Initially slated to be a collaboration with Public School, the pair ditches the PS branding for a 23 and NY branding on the respective heels. Are you feeling this pair? They will be releasing exclusively in New York City at the Jordan Brand Flight 23 NYC at Footaction Flagship. Hit the click for more images and stay tuned for updated release dates right here on JordansDaily.

Air Jordan 1 Mid: Tropical Teal – Infrared 23 – Black – White

September 17th, 2014 By

Air Jordan 1 Mid: Tropical Teal Infrared 23 Black White

The Air Jordan 1 Mid is starting to pick up speed in terms of the amount of new colorways we’ll see the shoe don since we’re getting to the colder months now. The shoe is usually rather absent during the warmer months to let the Air Jordan 1 Low hold things down (although this year it was more so to keep the focus on the Air Jordan Future than anything else). Here we see a new Tropical Teal shade contrast with Infrared 23 throughout. The vibrance here could mean a GS only release, but stay tuned for a release date on this pair in the near future, and in the meantime hit our gallery for a full rundown of images.

Air Jordan 1: “Jeter” – Release Date

September 15th, 2014 By

Air Jordan 1: Jeter Release Date

The Air Jordan 1 “Jeter” will release this Saturday, September 20th, 2014. Jordan Brand has been tipping its hat to Derek Jeter as the legendary short stop will be bidding his final farewell to the game of baseball in the remaining days of September. Through the #RE2PECT campaign, the Jumpman has successfully given Jeter a number of tv spots, player exclusive cleats, and apparel items to help usher him into the purgatory period of post-baseball pre-Hall of Fame that he’s about to enter. What better way to do it than with an exclusive Air Jordan 1 colorway? The Air Jordan 1 “Jeter” features the signature navy and white colorway of the Yankees, while pinstripes hit the collar. We’ve seen another baseball inspired AJ1 in the “Barons” Air Jordan 1, but how does this pair hold up? Grab more official images after the click.

A Look at Each Air Jordan Signature in a Chicago Colorway

The Nike World Basketball Festival arrived in Chicago last month as Team USA prepared for the 2014 FIBA World  Cup. The event also brought Chicago an exclusive that was the Air Jordan 14 “Ferrari” nearly a month before anyone else got a hold of that brand new colorway. There was even more to look at though, as today we get a look at 27 of Mike’s signature sneakers outfitted in a white-based Chicago-esque colorway in a great exhibit that shows the progression of the line. Which is your favorite? Be sure to grab a look at each sneaker after the click and let us know in the comments section. All photos courtesy of Sneaker News.

Air Jordan 1 Mid: “Gym Red” – Available

Air Jordan 1 Mid: Gym Red Available

The Air Jordan 1 Mid returns today in a near all-red look. While this pair was previewed a few months back from international shops like Titolo, they’ve finally made their way stateside, and they don’t disappoint. The shiny, near patent leather portions on the toebox and heel glisten in the sunlight while black contrasts throughout on the Swoosh and old school ‘Wings’ logo. And while we were never treated to the “Gym Red” Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG, this pair serves as a nice little substitute. Hit the click for more images of this Air Jordan 1 Mid and grab your pair today from Extra Butter.

The Air Jordan 4Lab1 Joins the Jordan Elements Series

September 10th, 2014 By

The Air Jordan 4Lab1 Joins the Jordan Elements Series

So far, the only Air Jordan Elements Series sneakers we’ve seen have involved the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 5. Each sneaker has utilized the mainstay elements from both sides, whether it be the all 3M material over the Air Jordan 3 silhouette, or the Air Jordan 5 adopting the elephant print throughout. Today we see the Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 4 team up for the first time in the Air Jordan 4Lab1. The sneaker gets that mesh covering throughout, as the same thought process lingers – take the predominant feature of each sneaker and translate it onto a new model. No signs of cement speckling on this pair though, but stick around for a full view and let us know what you think of this sneaker in the comments.

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG: “Legends of the Summer” – Available on eBay

Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG: Legends of the Summer Available on eBay

Last summer, Justin Timberlake had fans literally running around cities searching for an exclusive pair of Air Jordan retros under the monicker of “Legends of the Summer” named after his world tour with Jay-Z. The pairs all had rather similar features – exotic animal skins and prints drenched in a premium red. The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG was an outlier though, as the pair featured a 3M upper to contrast with the iridescent toebox and red patent leather, but to call them flashy would be an understatement. What do you think? Hit the click for more images, and know that this rare is up for auction today from sneakerheart on eBay.

fragment design x Air Jordan 1

September 4th, 2014 By

fragment design x Air Jordan 1

So far, we haven’t seen a full look at the Air Jordan 1 donning the details by none other than Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design imprint. That all changes today, as Shoulee81 took to instagram to give us a full preview, and it doesn’t disappoint. Sure, Fujiwara is more of a veteran in terms of functional running silhouettes, but his take on a Jordan retro falls somewhere in between a Black Toe look and the Air Jordan 1 “Royal”, which should appease the traditionalists. The fragment logo can be found subtly indented on the back heel while that classic ‘Nike Air’ lands on the tongue of this Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG. What do you think of this collaboration? Still no word on a stateside release, but stick with JordansDaily for all of your updates.
