Is this Jordan CP3.VII AE the other sneaker belonging to that Air Jordan 6 “World Cup Brazil Pack” confirmed yesterday? While we can’t be sure how many silhouettes will be included in the World Cup inspired festive collection, the similarities are too much to deny that this Chris Paul signature isn’t in some way nodding to the world’s most anticipated sporting event every four years. The shoes feature the exposed dynamic flywire covered in black to match the elephant print underlay while the Air Jordan 3 staple is also feature don the back heel in a vibrant green. And while Chris Paul has moved on from his days in New Orleans and is carrying the Clippers to another playoff birth, Sole Swap hasn’t forgotten about CP3′s time in New Orleans as a member of the Hornets with his latest pair. Based on the “Gamma Blue” Air Jordan 12 pair, the shoes remain fairly untouched besides ditching the red accents in lieu of a vibrant yellow with an additional CP3 insignia to give it that PE feel. While Chris Paul has had alter egos before (look at his State Farm commercials for proof) his signature sneaker goes through a transformation right before the playoffs each year thanks to the AE iteration that slims down added weight and this year, exposes the dynamic flywire for a truly original look. With a black base, the sneaker features a vibrant array of colors from orange, purple and green while the flywire alternates each hue. With an 82 game season, the grind of professional basketball can wear teams down and have early contenders look sluggish at the start of the post season. While this has happened to the Clippers before, with new coach Doc Rivers and a rejuvenated Chris Paul back from injury (not to mention fellow Jordan athlete Blake Griffin in MVP form) this season should be a different story. Jordan Brand has revamped the Jordan CP3.VII with a new playoff ready model in the Jordan CP3.VII AE. The sneaker features dynamic flywire for added support exposed on the upper and today we get a look at a brand new colorway in a Clippers-ready theme.
