Michael Jordan Can Tee Off, Smoke A Cigar & Wear Infrared Cleats At The Same Time

March 17th, 2015 By

During his ’90s heyday with the Chicago Bulls, Michael Jordan was world-renowned for his steely, imperturbable concentration when executing plays. So, teeing off with, say, a lit cigar and blaring hip hop music is probably fun for him where it might be a slice into the woods for us.

Jordan Flight Flex Trainer: “Jeter” – Release Date

September 15th, 2014 By

The Air Jordan 1 “Jeter” won’t be the only sneaker releasing this weekend paying homage to the all-time Yankees great, as the Jordan Flight Flex Trainer surprisingly gets a Yankees twist. The training sneaker was one of the shoes championed in Jordan Brand’s All-Star weekend showcase this past February, as they continue to market their training series with an agressive push. And while Jeter won’t see one of his exclusive cleats arrive at retailers, this Flight Flex Trainer should have a larger impact. Featuring that clean Yankees navy and white, a premium gold Jumpman rests on the heel while a Jeter-inspired crest falls on the neoprene mesh tongue. Grab more images of this member of the Derek Jeter collection after the click and grab your pair this Saturday, September 20th.

Air Jordan 1: “Jeter” – Release Date

September 15th, 2014 By

The Air Jordan 1 “Jeter” will release this Saturday, September 20th, 2014. Jordan Brand has been tipping its hat to Derek Jeter as the legendary short stop will be bidding his final farewell to the game of baseball in the remaining days of September. Through the #RE2PECT campaign, the Jumpman has successfully given Jeter a number of tv spots, player exclusive cleats, and apparel items to help usher him into the purgatory period of post-baseball pre-Hall of Fame that he’s about to enter. What better way to do it than with an exclusive Air Jordan 1 colorway? The Air Jordan 1 “Jeter” features the signature navy and white colorway of the Yankees, while pinstripes hit the collar. We’ve seen another baseball inspired AJ1 in the “Barons” Air Jordan 1, but how does this pair hold up? Grab more official images after the click.

Derek Jeter’s Jordan Brand Farewell Cleats Up for Auction

September 9th, 2014 By

Derek Jeter’s last season in the majors is coming to a close, and Jordan Brand made sure to make the farewell a memorable one. They started off with the #RE2PECT campaign in a hat tip to no.2, then there was his All Star Game player exclusive cleat. JB isn’t done with the exclusives either, as two brand new cleats are being auctioned off featuring an all over print of Jeter’s numerous accomplishments. Luckily, they all fit on the cleat as New York is memorialized with the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty along with all of Derek’s individual awards. Head to the gallery for more images of this Derek Jeter farewell nod and bid on your favorite pair today from Steiner Sports.

Michael Jordan Accepts ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

August 20th, 2014 By

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge is sweeping the country right now in an attempt to raise awareness and to help find an eventual cure for Lou Gerhrig’s disease. The thought process behind it is simple – you have 24 hours to respond to the challenger and either donate money to the charity to help fund research for motor neurone disease or dump a bucket full of ice on your head. Michael Jordan was recently challenged by none other than Jordan Brand Athlete Derek Jeter, and the boss responded in a big way. He nominated Phil Jackson and all of his Dream Team teammates to donate money and feel the rush of cold water over their heads. And considering Mike’s had ice running through his veins after all those clutch career moments, we doubt he minded feeling the cold water for a few moments. Watch the video after the jump.
