If you think you’ve seen all the Olympic player exclusives Jordan Brand dished out for 2012 you’ve got another thing coming. As it turns out track athlete and 2012 Paralympic Games participant April Holmes was also outfitted with a special pair, an alternating set of white/black gold tinged Air Jordan XX style shoes (sort of has a Golden Moments look, no?). Like the Air Jordan X ten years prior, the Air Jordan XX briefly toyed with the regional approach of release, dropping specific colorways in specific geographic markets. Of all the component sneakers making up the hybrid design of the Jordan Son of Mars the Air Jordan XX is the clear odd man out, a big leap chronologically from the rest of the bunch. The 20th entry into the Air Jordan legacy of course brought its lasered strap to the Son of Mars design, but on this particular 2005 release the strap was wiped clean with the etched details dominating the body of the sneaker instead. With the Jordan Son of Mars being a hot item right now we thought we’d take you back to the most recent model included in its design-the Air Jordan XX. This particular colorway, colloquially known as the ‘Quickstrikes’ came to us back in 2005, a nearly black and white affair that saw the usual contrast of the lasered section toned down thanks to the mostly muted palette.
