After designing Air Jordan XV and handing Air Jordan XVI off to Wilson Smith III, Tinker Hatfield returned to the fold to design Air Jordan XX. It was fitting to have the Air Jordan line’s chief creator back to commemorate the Air Jordan’s 20th anniversary, and he didn’t disappoint. Air Jordan XX’s radical floating collar, Mark Smith-designed lasered straps, and Independent Podular Suspension underfoot provided a look forward in performance while honoring the scope of Michael Jordan’s career. White/Varsity Red-Black provided the debut colorway on February 19, 2005. It hasn’t yet been re-released, but you can still find OG pairs now at select spots like Stadium Goods.
