Kobe Bryant and Chris Paul faced off for the final time on Wednesday, with the Clippers capping their home-and-home with the Lakers on a 91-81 win. Another loss in the Lakers’ horrendous season but Kobe’s farewell tour has seemed to take the edge off the pain. And even provided some bright points – Kobe has made a habit of signing his game-worn kicks and handing them off to eager opponents like Tony Allen and P.J. Tucker. Chris Paul went about procuring his Kobe memento a bit differently, getting the Black Mamba to autograph his pair of Air Jordan 3 Kobe PE. The message:
“To my brother CP, one of the greatest competitors of all time! Kobe 24”
Had former NBA commissioner David Stern allowed Paul to be traded to the Lakers in late 2011, would a backcourt of CP and Kobe have reeled off a few titles?
