Back when Melo was still in the Western Conference (and making the playoffs in a loaded division mind you) every once in a while he’d ditch a signature for Michael Jordan’s signature line up. His personal favorite was the Air Jordan 2009, as pairs of his “Home” and “Away” looks recently appeared featuring either a white or black base while that Carolina Blue hit the ankle support and midsole. An “All-Star” pair is also available, as it had a scheme reminiscent of the Chicago Bulls with a white and red construction. The 2009 iteration of the Air Jordan signature collection is often forgotten, but Melo continued to represent the silhouette throughout that year’s playoffs.
