The Air Jordan XI IE Low underwent one of the more drastic transformations in the whole catalog as far as the high to low process, the upper totally reworked and the instantly recognizable patent leather look gone. This 2007 retro of the sneaker was one of several releases at the time to use argon blue, this pair utilizing it to the fullest extent by dipping that elephant upper in that tone. The pair is the IE Low in white/argon blue, using a dominant white upper and putting the blue in through the cracks of the elephant print and down into the lining. What you’re looking at here is one of the pairs that didn’t see the light of day in 2011, a 1996 original featuring a neutral mixture of white and grey up top with cobalt thrown in as the only bit of color throughout the sneaker. The Maui Invitational kicked off yesterday at Chaminade University and this tournament is a favorite for everyone involved for reasons ranging from great competition to the weather. Among the teams in the EA Sports tournament are Duke, Michigan, Memphis and Kansas. In addition to the hot Hawaiian weather, sneaker heat was seen on the court. Sneakers worn by players on court yesterday included team exclusive versions of the Air Jordan 2011 A-Flight to the Air Jordan III ‘True Blue’ just to name a few.
