Charlotte Hornets New Logo Hugo Wearing Air Jordan 11 “Concord”

December 23rd, 2013 By

Charlotte Hornets New Logo Hugo Wearing Air Jordan 11 Concord

The Charlotte Bobcats will officially be retired as the strange navy and orange legacy will enter the history books and the Charlotte Hornets will return in full teal and purple glory for the 2014 NBA Season. Over the weekend, the team unveiled their new logo and among them was the classic secondary of Hugo the Hornet, the team’s longstanding mascot. Among the differences in the newest iteration was the fact that the Hornet laced up a pair of the Air Jordan 11 “Concords” on-feet giving a subtle nod to the squad’s owner and his favorite silhouette. MJ has made no secret of wanting to supply the teams threads directly from Jordan Brand, but with the current adidas licensing exclusive to all teams, MJ will have to settle for his logo lacing up his favorite pair. Hit the gallery for more details and let us know what you think of the new look in the comments.

Air Jordan XI Low: Concord

That being said, it may be a possibility that the favorite Air Jordan 11 “Concord” could arrive as an Air Jordan 11 Low for Summer of 2014. Hit the gallery for a better view of the sneaker and let us know if you’d grab a pair if they are in fact headed to retail in the hotter months.

Kevin Durant Wears Air Jordan XI Concord

Vintage Gear: Michael Jordan Ball Park Franks Cutout

Vintage Gear: Michael Jordan Ball Park Franks Cutout

At the height of his career, Michael Jordan was the most marketable athlete to not only hit the hardwood but set foot in any athletic arena. Discounting his sponsorship with Nike, MJ still had contracts with McDonalds, Gatorade, Hanes, and Wheaties, but one of the forgotten sponsors of that era was Ball Park Franks. Although we’ve seen hundreds of Jordan cut-outs from the 90′s, today’s vintage find stands out because of its unique promotional use. Standing mid pose at the free-throw line in the Bulls’ alternative pin-stripe uniform, the team name is replaced for the Ball Park Franks logo, but luckily the Air Jordan XI ‘Concords’ remain untouched. View more photos of this rare piece of memorabilia after the jump and bid on it now from seattlesellerz on eBay.
