Black Sheep Skate Shop of Charlotte, North Carolina has previewed an upcoming sneaker with an inspiration that ties together various elements just about as smoothly as any we’ve seen. This Nike SB Dunk incorporates a nod to the original Air Jordan V White/Grape Ice-New Emerald colorway from 1990, the 30th anniversary of both the Air Jordan and Nike Dunk line, a shout to the “Black Grape” V released in June 2013, and a salute to the Michael Jordan-owned Charlotte Hornets.

Air Jordan 5 – White – Metallic Silver At A Glance

April 1st, 2015 By

A non-OG favorite is back after 15 long years this Saturday. Air Jordan 5 in White/Metallic Silver-Black first dropped in 2000 with white tumbled leather and measured silver touches as a lifestyle look alternative to the 1990 White/Black-Fire Red and Black/Black-Metallic Silver colorways that also re-released that year. As advance photos indicate, all the accoutrements from the 2000 release return intact. Except for price, unfortunately. The ’00 was $125 retail, while the ’15 tips the scale at $190.

March 29th, 2015 By

We’re just days away from Air Jordan 5 in one of the first ever non-original colorways Jordan Brand released. This white and metallic silver look, with tumbled leather and understated accents, first released as a “Retro+” edition in 2000. At the time, this and the Air Jordan 5 “Laney” were the first colorways of the 5 that hadn’t released back in 1990 with the original run, which provided Jordan fans with fresh takes on a true old school classic. In similar fashion, the Air Jordan 4 “Columbia” and “Oreo” recently returned for the first time since they dropped as Retro+ releases in 1999.

And now the white and metallic silver 5 has become a retro classic, so Jordan Brand has it back for you this weekend to rock once again. Check the official Nike photos here and line up your connects now for this anticipated release.

From his Instagram video, it looks like World Peace’s Jordan options for the time being are Air Jordan 5 “Laney” and White/Black-Fire Red, and Air Jordan 10 “Venom Green.”
