Jordans Daily “Vintage Gear” returns with a look straight out of 1992 with the Nike Air Jordan “What’s Up Jock?” t-shirt. In the wake of the first Hare Jordan commercial, which debuted on February 9, 1992 during the NBA All-Star Game, Nike issued quite a few different t-shirts featuring Michael Jordan and Bugs Bunny in their Air Jordan VIIs (like these). Bugs’ riff off his famous “What’s up, Doc?” one-liner found its way onto this shirt and others as Nike and Warner Brothers synced their marketing in near flawless execution. Kids loved the campaign and merch for the meshing of their favorite athlete with Bugs, while teenagers and adults dug it for the coolness and even novelty factor. That’s a huge reason why Jordan Brand is reintroducing a “Hare Jordan” collection for 2015, the 23rd anniversary of the beloved original run, including the Jordan 7 “Hares” on May 16.

Stay tuned for more Hare Jordan news here at Jordans Daily. You can find this tee and other Hare Jordan-era goodies now on eBay.
