Remember when Michael Jordan wore the Nike Air Flight One? After his shocking early debut of Air Jordan 11 “Concord” for Games 1 and 2 of the 1995 East Semifinals, MJ reportedly borrowed a pair of Penny Hardaway’s Flight Ones for Game 3. The motive behind the odd move seems to be a simple one. With MJ essentially playing in prototype pairs of the 11, Nike didn’t have a black playoff version at the ready. So MJ slipped on the Flight One for Game 3 while Nike whipped up Black/Concord 11s for him to wear in Game 4. And that’s the OG version releasing this December 17th.
