No doubt that the design flair of Jordan Spike 40 and 40 Low can be traced back to Air Jordan 5. Mike’s signature shoe from 1990 was, after all, right in the middle of Spike Lee‘s Mars Blackmon campaigns with Nike. The connection makes sense. Now, Jordan Brand is plying the 40 Low with another AJ5 characteristic. Black/Metallic Silver, perhaps the 5’s most famous colorway, fills in here with plenty of OG flavor. Cement speckle and Nike Air branding set that sentiment firmly in place. Keep your eyes open for these hitting shelves shortly. Official photos below. Let us know if you’re on board with these or just waiting for the remastered Air Jordan 5 Black/Metallic Silver releasing July 23rd.
