The Air Jordan 11 Low IE design backstory isn’t Tinker Hatfield‘s first info bomb drop this year. Early this summer, the legendary sneaker craftsman sent a zing through the sneaker community with his reveal that the Air Jordan 5 “Pre-Grape” was originally intended to be one of the four original colorways that released in 1990. As we know, White/Grape Ice-New Emerald – colloquially “Grapes” – got the nod instead, relegating the dark blue and turquoise colorway to the Air Jordan idea vault until Jordan Brand released it as a retro on May 2nd. Did you snag a pair of Pre-Grapes? Plenty available now via eBay.
