Michael Jordan didn’t get a chance to wear the Black/Varsity Royal 1 during his rookie season games (unless he was willing to incur some uniformity fines), but he did sport the colorway for promotional photos for his first signature sneaker. That was 30 long years ago but the colorway hasn’t aged a bit, continuing to spark fans’ interest.
