It’s no secret that New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago are all the largest markets in the United States, but Jordan Brand wanted to show some extra love to these sneaker savvy cities with the latest Air Jordan 1 Low collection. Dubbed The City Pack, each lowtop gets an array of original colors to fit the persona of each city while the respective flags replace the Jumpman on the top of the tongue. While Chicago’s opts for a metallic upper in a reference to the famous Bean, Los Angeles gets a cool white and grey suede while New York gets an anthracite and green look. Yesterday we got a look at a new Air Jordan 1 Low “City Pack” sneaker representing Los Angeles. The Pack will hit all three of the United States’ major markets in NYC, LA and Chicago, and today we get a better look at the Midwestern iteration that features a metallic upper in a vibrant finish. It shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that the Air Jordan 1 Low is getting special treatment for Summer as last year we were treated to the Formidable Foes Collection along with a number of various colorways of the warm month staple. Featuring a pure platinum construction, a metallic silver hits the toe and side panel while navy accents arrive on the lining, outsole and laces. With this weekend’s release of the Air Jordan 11 Low “Concord” it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the Concord hue influx has arrived. Ranging from the Jordan 6-17-23 hybrid all the way to the upcoming Air Jordan 2, the dark purple shade can be found on nearly every Air Jordan model and now the Air Jordan 1 Low is an active participant. As per usual, each sneaker takes the color and morphs it to best fit, and this low top gets a casual overhaul that uses grey panels contrasting with black while the concord acts more as an accent hitting on the lining, ‘Wings’ logo and sole. To close out 2013, Jordan Brand treated everyone to the classic stylings of the Air Jordan 1 “Bred” and while that shoe is currently seeing a revival through resellers on eBay, today we get a look at a summer styling in the Air Jordan 1 Low that should be a welcomed addition to anyone’s rotation. Channelling the “Bred” look, the shoe features an almost identical color blocking as its high top predecessor. The outsole features black instead of red while the classic ‘Wings’ logo is featured prominently on the back heel.
