Congratulations are in order for the San Antonio Spurs and Kawhi Leonard who dethroned the Miami Heat in 5 Games and took home the NBA Finals MVP award. Leonard got off to a slow start in this series, and after fielding his first share of criticism on the big stage, bounced back in a huge way by leading the Spurs in scoring while also guarding both LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. The Jordan Brand athlete did so wearing a low key colorway of the Air Jordan XX8 SE throughout out series, so it will be more than interesting to see where the 22 year old goes from here with Jordan Brand. While a signature is unlikely, seeing the youngster succeed on a such a big stage (he’s the youngest MVP of the Finals since Isaiah Thomas) means that JB should have something cooking up for Leonard within the next season, whether it means pushing the newly minted Air Jordan XX9 or not. Stick with us after the click to see what Leonard was wearing in Game 5 and let us know your thoughts on the new champs in the comments.
