“I’m the new Jean-Michel, surrounded by Warhol, my whole team ball.”
People familiar with Jay-Z as a rapper know his current affinity for dropping art references (the man has a Picasso painting in his bathroom, mind you). And while his need to collect paintings might seem a little aristocratic to the hip-hop landscape, it’s always cool to see Hov push the boundaries of content within his lyrics and style outside of his songs.
