Releasing later on in 2013 is the Air Jordan XII ‘Taxi’. It’s a little bit of a surprise to see the Air Jordan XII back again after seeing plenty of colorways drop in 2012, but that’s not to say that we aren’t excited about the return of this fan-favorite colorway. There’s no definitive release date as of yet, but internet chatter is putting them as a December release. It was just four short years ago that the Air Jordan XI ‘Bred’ last released. And when it did, it came packaged together with this pair of the Air Jordan XII. The blocking is of course an original colorway, known colloquially as the Air Jordan XII ‘Taxi’ thanks to the bits of yellow utilized on the outsole. While it’s not the most Chicago looking pair, this original Air Jordan XII colorway was indeed the first one for MJ’s twelfth silhouette, releasing back in 1996 with the remaining OG pairs trickling out in 1997. The ‘Taxi’ name comes from that tone that’s the least used on the sneakers, showing up for the carbon fiber plating on bottom.
