1996 was a historic year for MJ. His Bulls went an NBA record 72-10, he won an NBA championship in the Air Jordan XI, and at the mid-season mark impressed his peers in the All-Star game at San Antonio. Fans remember the crazy uniforms that featured the East squad in a teal uni with a font that couldn’t have been stitched on a jersey in any other era besides the 90s. Today’s VG is an autographed jersey from MJ’s All-Star MVP. It was a smart decision to get MJ to sign the front of the jersey, where as the normal tradition of a player signing the back of the jersey would mean losing the crazy chili pepper spinning a ball graphic. Jordan fans know this All-Star game as the time that MJ broke out the infamous all white Air Jordan XI ‘Columbia’ pair which we’re still patiently waiting for a retro of. As always, head to the gallery for more images of this beautifully 90s jersey and if you have enough cash to match your nostalgia, pick this piece of history up from felexxfoxx on eBay.
