With all of the monumental success, it’s easy to forget that the Air Jordan collection was birthed into controversy. Back when Mike first joined the league his sneaker was hit with fines for not including enough white, yet Nike decided that any press was good press (rightfully so) and paid the fines for each game that MJ wore the Air Jordan 1 ‘Banned’ that featured strictly red and black. Since then, the Bulls colorway was seen on every Jordan release, just with the red playing a smaller role as an accent color. But after the success of 2009’s all red Air Jordan V ‘Raging Bull’ as part of the Raging Bull/ Toro Bravo pack, JB has decided to take the all red colorway a step further by putting on the Air Jordan IV ‘Fire Red Nubuck’ now known as the Air Jordan IV ‘Toro’. Hit the jump for more images thanks to Sneaker News and be sure to pick them up Saturday, July 13th.
