In a heartwarming tale, Nike recently decided to give back a little-blessing a grieving mother with some Jordan Spiz’ike iD pairs in honor of her deceased husband. The late Hondo Morales was apparently an avid collector of Air Jordans, and the sneakers he left behind were thought of as a legacy of sorts by his widow Jimica Perea. Unfortunately about fifteen pairs stolen from his car soon after his death, an act that led Perea to call out to her community for help in replacing them. The call eventually went far enough up the ladder to reach the NIKE iD team, who blessed the family with four complimentary designs of the Jordan Spiz’ike iD for Hondo’s surviving children. The Jordan Spiz’ike has worn the orange and green before, coming with that combo presumably inspired by the Miami Hurricanes for the recent Solefly x Jordan Spiz’ike exclusive. Donning the same colors, but this time pointing to a totally different inspiration, is the Jordan Spiz’ike “UNDFTD” custom from Gourmet Kickz. Aside from the on point colorway, the pair also puts one some rippled graphics on its front/back panels and a lacelock set that spells out “UNDFTD”. Remember back when Russell Westbrook had his own Air Jordan rollerskates made? As of now he’s not the only NBA star who can rock the rink with the Jumpman, as Javale McGee went ahead and had these Jordan Spiz’ikes outfitted with a set of wheels on the bottom. The first couple of rounds of 2013 March Madness are in the books, and the schools involved certainly showed out in the Air Jordan category.
