The Miami Heat have only been around since 1988, but since then they have become one of the few franchises in NBA history to win a championship and are currently positioned to win more with Dwyane Wade leading them. Throughout their history, the Heat have also represented on court with some classic Nike Basketball and Air Jordan sneakers. Last night was a monumental night in college basketball as Duke coach, Mike Krzyzewski won his 903rd game to take over the all-time wins list. His players brought in on the court not only in the game, but in the sneaker department as well as Austin Rivers wore the Air Jordan XI ‘Cool Grey’ and Seth Curry wore the Jordan CP3.IV. In addition to the heat worn by the Blue Devils, the San Diego State Aztecs brought out their best as well. Earlier today, the Wu-Tang Clan performed at the Enmore Theatre in Sydney, Australia before a live, packed house. The legendary group performed some of their biggest tracks for the large crowd. The last time Chris Paul was in China, he brought home the gold medal during the 2008 Beijing Olympics alongside fellow Jordan Brand teammate Carmelo Anthony. Paul is currently in China on Jordan Brand’s Flight Tour which is giving the Chinese a chance to experience what we do at an NBA game. Jordan Brand has made CP3 a special makeup of the Jordan CP3.IV for the Jordan Brand Flight Tour which takes inspiration from Chinese Opera culture. These released in Hong Kong a few days ago and are currently available on Kicks-Crew if you are looking to add this pair to your collection.

To celebrate the Jordan Brand Flight Tour to China, Jordan Brand created three special colorways for Carmelo Anthony’s, Dwyane Wade’s and Chris Paul’s signature shoes of which we previewed yesterday. The pack is inspired by China’s opera culture specifically the opera masks and the characteristics of each player is incorporated to pay homage to said culture. Chris Paul’s Flight Tour edition Jordan CP3.IV features a blue, yellow, white, and red colorway that highlights Paul’s crazy handle and smooth, but quick characteristics. The white in the shoe represents CP’s crafty yet sinister element of his game. The blue is used to exhibit CP’s astute yet fierceness on the court. Yellow symbolizes CP’s ambition but ability to stay cool-headed and the red accent shows CP’s continued loyalty and courage to the development of his craft. The Jordan CP3. IV Flight Tour edition will be available beginning July 27th in Hong Kong. Despite the shortcomings of Jordan Brand’s signature athletes Chris Paul, Carmelo Anthony and Dwyane Wade during the 2011 NBA Playoffs, Jordan Brand is pushing their brand beyond our borders specifically China. The trio is involved in Jordan Brand’s Flight Tour and a pack has been designed around the event which include the Jordan CP3.IV, Jordan Melo M7 Advance and the Jordan Fly Wade. The pack featuring the brand’s poster athletes also features a shirt to go with each sneaker and is inspired by China’s opera masks seen by the masks worn by Wade, Paul and Anthony. Each shoe is unique in nature with the Jordan Melo M7 Advance sharing similarities with the Jordan Melo M7 ‘Jade’ that released in November 2010. There’s no word on a release but if there is, we’ll be the first to have it. Although Chris Paul’s season ended in the first round at the hands of Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers, Paul’s signature line, the Jordan CP3.IV is still going strong. We last saw Jordan Brand teammate Mike Bibby wearing a PE version of the CP3.IV but now we have another non-traditional JB colorway used for CP3′s sneaker. The Varsity Royal/Black/White colorway is very similar to Nike’s famed Air Foamposite One from the varsity royal upper to the translucent sole. The Celtics are one game closer to joining the Lakers as teams from the Finals to be eliminated early during the playoffs as Mike Bibby and the Miami Heat went up 3-1 Monday night. Bibby who is no stranger to wearing other Jordan Brand models in addition to signature models was seen wearing a player exclusive version of Jordan Brand teammate Chris Paul’s CP4.IV.  The PE comes in the traditional Jordan Brand colors of Black/Red but the Bulls-like colorways of JB also compliment the Heat road uniform well. For those who might not have remembered, the Air Jordan V ‘T23′ wasn’t the only sneaker that released this past weekend in Japan. The CP3.IV, which was the least regarded of the two ‘T23′ releases, dropped in limited quantities. Due to the fact that these were a Japan-only release, those who wanted these and weren’t in the “Land of the Rising Sun” when these released were left out in the cold. Pairs of the CP3.IV ‘T23′ have began to pop up on eBay and for those who were outside of Japan when these dropped, this is the only way for them to get a pair. To commemorate the debut of Jordan Tokyo23, Jordan Brand has crafted the Air Jordan V and CP3.IV ‘T23′ with the Air Jordan V being one of the most anticipated Asia-exclusive releases in recent memory. The limited availability of both the AJ V and the CP3.IV has been discussed extensively by sneaker enthusiasts far and wide but with this new information from Nike Harajuku, we may finally get a peek as to the real numbers of both shoes. A raffle will be held between the dates of April 29th and May 1st with one raffle per customer and anytime a raffle is involved the numbers of shoes are pretty limited.
