To celebrate the Jordan Brand Flight Tour to China, Jordan Brand created three special colorways for Carmelo Anthony’s, ’s and ’s signature shoes of which we previewed yesterday. The pack is inspired by China’s opera culture specifically the opera masks and the characteristics of each player is incorporated to pay homage to said culture. Chris Paul’s Flight Tour edition features a blue, yellow, white, and red colorway that highlights Paul’s crazy handle and smooth, but quick characteristics. The white in the shoe represents CP’s crafty yet sinister element of his game. The blue is used to exhibit CP’s astute yet fierceness on the court. Yellow symbolizes CP’s ambition but ability to stay cool-headed and the red accent shows CP’s continued loyalty and courage to the development of his craft. The Jordan CP3. IV Flight Tour edition will be available beginning July 27th in Hong Kong. Despite the shortcomings of Jordan Brand’s signature athletes , Carmelo Anthony and during the 2011 NBA Playoffs, Jordan Brand is pushing their brand beyond our borders specifically China. The trio is involved in Jordan Brand’s Flight Tour and a pack has been designed around the event which include the , and the . The pack featuring the brand’s poster athletes also features a shirt to go with each sneaker and is inspired by China’s opera masks seen by the masks worn by Wade, Paul and Anthony. Each shoe is unique in nature with the sharing similarities with the Jordan Melo M7 ‘Jade’ that released in November 2010. There’s no word on a release but if there is, we’ll be the first to have it. We last saw Jordan Brand teammate Mike Bibby wearing a PE version of the CP3.IV but now we have another non-traditional JB colorway used for CP3′s sneaker. The Varsity Royal/Black/White colorway is very similar to Nike’s famed Air Foamposite One from the varsity royal upper to the translucent sole. For those who might not have remembered, the ‘T23′ wasn’t the only sneaker that released this past weekend in Japan. The CP3.IV, which was the least regarded of the two ‘T23′ releases, dropped in limited quantities. Due to the fact that these were a Japan-only release, those who wanted these and weren’t in the “Land of the Rising Sun” when these released were left out in the cold. Pairs of the CP3.IV ‘T23′ have began to pop up on eBay and for those who were outside of Japan when these dropped, this is the only way for them to get a pair.
