The Jordan Brand Classic is more than just a set of basketball games. The event provides a complete experience for the young athletes participating, and for the folks who make it out to the day. The former group enjoyed plenty of Jordan Brand activities leading up to Saturday, including a private event with Spike Lee, a trip out to Melo’s native Redhook, and some training time with Team Jordan boxer Andre Ward. The latter group, those who populated the Barclay’s Center for Saturday’s trio of games, saw the in-game action boosted by the presence of celebs and athletes like Fabolous, C.C. Sabathia, Amare Stoudemire, Victor Cruz, and more. Oh, and did we mention that Drake ending the evening with a performance wherein he brought the All-Americans on stage to celebrate? Announced today was the attendance of Grammy award-winner Drake, who will hit the stage immediately following the last game of the day come Saturday, April 13th. Also announced were the complete rosters for the National and Regional games that will go down that day over at the Barclays Center. Yep, it’s another you don’t have these yet moment brought to you by a famous hip-hop star. This time around the sneaker in question is the Air Jordan VI ‘Golden Moment’, that packaged pair set to arrive on August 18th, and the person in question is frequent Air Jordan supporter Drake. Drizzy was spotted holding down the gold in his home town of Toronto for his OVO Fest, although no sighting of the other half yet. Has Drake beefed up his security after that whole fiasco where he was running around tossing bottles at Chris Brown in a New York nightclub? Kinda looks like it but hey-we’re not here to speculate on that, but rather to take a look at the latest Air Jordan retro Drizzy broke in. Drake’s upcoming album Take Care is among one of the most anticipated albums of the year and later this month the people will get a chance to see if it lives up to the hype. In promoting the album, Drake has released the video for the single of the album titled “Headlines”. In one of the scenes in the video, Drake is seen wearing the Air Jordan XI IE Low White/Black which dropped back in August. Complex is known for their countdown lists especially with sneakers and this time they look into celebrities who were spotted rocking fake or unappealing footwear. Some celebrities that wish they didn’t make the cut include Drake, the Game, Big Boi and Soulja Boy who were all photographed at one point rocking counterfeit Air Jordans. Drake is featured on one of the biggest singles on the Billboard charts with “I’m On One” and is currently working on his second album Take Care which is due out later this year. In between working around the clock, the Toronto MC was spotted eating dinner with some friends and while he was doing that, he wore the Air Jordan VII BIN 23. Drake, the former “Degrassi” star, was recently spotted at the Montreal-Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport after a weekend in Montreal which included a guest appearance at Rihanna’s show and dinner with the pop star. While waiting to board his flight, the Young Money star was spotted wearing the Air Jordan III White/Cement which released back in January 2011 after last being retroed in 2003.
