Air Jordan VIII Low: Derek Anderson Blazers “Home” PE

October 13th, 2013 By

Derek Anderson had plenty of Air Jordan silhouettes slashed in half for the low cut feel – a choice that wasn’t even popular at the time for most NBA players in fear of rolling their ankles, but has since proven to make a comeback with shoes like the Nike KD 6 and Kobe series. For Derek Anderson one of his favorite PEs was the Air Jordan VIII Low which we see hear today in a look that is strikingly similar to a 2003 release of the sneaker. In a predominantly white look, the waves of black and metallic silver keep things in line for a Trailblazer’s home scheme while his number 1 is stitched on the strap. Air Jordan XXI Low: Derek Anderson Houston Rockets PE

September 24th, 2013 By

By now we know that if it’s a rare Air Jordan Low PE, it probably belongs to either Derek Anderson or Mike Bibby. Split between those two guys, they’ve had just about every Jordan silhouette turned into a convertible of sorts, taking the top off to fit their quick guard play. Today we get a glimpse of a classic ‘Chicago’  colorway that’s suitable for the Rockets’ current uniforms as Derek Anderson was given this Air Jordan XXI Low during his twenty game stint with Houston back in 2005. The shoe features ‘Rock 8′ on each tongue, a variation of the usual ‘Loyalty’ stitching that Anderson featured on his sneakers. Air Jordan II Low: Derek Anderson Bobcats PE

September 17th, 2013 By

Derek Anderson entered the NBA as a national champion with the Kentucky Wildcats while donning MJ’s number ’23’ so he was a natural choice to lace up shoes donning the Jumpman on them when Jordan Brand became it’s own company during his rookie season in 1997. Over the span of his career, we’ve seen some great player exclusives (predominantly low tops) and this Air Jordan II Low is no exception. Given to Derek Anderson during his last season with the Charlotte Bobcats (fitting that he would finish his journeyman career on a team owned by His Airness) the shoe features an all white base while navy hits the midsole and lining. Vibrant orange accents appear on the heel while Anderson’s ‘Loyal 1′ is stitched on each shoe. Head to the gallery for a better look, and pick them up today from brokeonjordans on eBay.

Air Jordan III: Derek Anderson PE

August 28th, 2013 By

Drafted in 1997 by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Derek Anderson proved himself in college at Kentucky to be a formidable guard with the agility to slash to the basket and make plays reminiscent of a number 23 at North Carolina, so it made sense when he signed to Jordan Brand when he entered the league sharing the same number as MJ. Although the comparisons never panned out, Derek did fulfill the role as a respectable bench player and ended his career with a number of enticing Air Jordan PEs. Today we get a look at a 2003 Air Jordan III while Derek was with the Trail Blazers, meaning he could lace up any Chicago colorway he pleased. This edition sees the midsole hit with half fire red, half white while the signature cement colored elephant print does the rest of the work. Head to the gallery for a full look and let us know where this ranks in your favorite customs.
