The Jordan 6 Rings will hit the baseball diamond tonight in celebration of Jackie Robinson Day, as Jordan Brand athletes Carl Crawford and Jimmy Rollins will be wearing a PE cleat version of the silo. On the back end of the royal and blue combination is a bit of “42″ embroidery, paying respect to Jackie Robinson’s jersey number and his contributions of the game of baseball. On top of that, C.C. The Jordan Brand Classic is more than just a set of basketball games. The event provides a complete experience for the young athletes participating, and for the folks who make it out to the day. The former group enjoyed plenty of Jordan Brand activities leading up to Saturday, including a private event with Spike Lee, a trip out to Melo’s native Redhook, and some training time with Team Jordan boxer Andre Ward. The two are PE products, the Concord crafted for C.C. Sabathia and the Space Jam colored up for Gio Gonzalez, so it’s not like you’ll get a chance to cop at retail any time soon.
