NBA Jordans Daily: P.J. Tucker Pulls Air Jordan 13 Low “Navy” From The Archives

March 27th, 2015 By

pj-tucker-air-jordan-13-low-1

While we know Suns swingman P.J. Tucker keeps a mean sneaker collection at the ready, including a range of Nike Basketball and vintage Air Jordan, you can never pin his sneaker tastes down. He’s in Kobe 9 one night, Foamposite One the next. In his latest game he flipped a truly rare sneaker on us – the Air Jordan 13 Low “Navy” from 1998. Seeing the shoes again in any setting is a brow-raiser but anyone playing in them with 17 years of patina is a bona fide miracle. Play in them he did, but not very well, adding only three points on 1-11 shooting as the Kings eased past the Suns 108-99. Big loss for Phoenix, a team on the rise just year ago and now finding themselves fading from the NBA Western Conference playoff picture three games back of the number eight seed.

The North Carolina Tar Heels are a proud, in-your-face basketball team and the Air Jordan XX9 they’ll wear tomorrow against Wisconsin reflects that boldness. But it’s not just another team color player exclusive – it’s Rameses, the UNC Chapel Hill mascot, large on the lateral sides. No mistaking this one, either in person or on TV. The rest of the shoe is trimmed out in dark blue with a solid white sole. View the latest photos of this crazy PE here and we’ll update this post with new photos as they happen.

NBA Jordans Daily: Kings Throw Back Their Jerseys & Jordans

March 25th, 2015 By

It was throwback jersey night in Sacramento on Tuesday, as the Kings donned the blue threads they wore as the Rochester Royals from 1945 to 1957. And what goes with a good throwback jersey? Retro Jordans, of course. DeMarcus Cousins took a spin in Air Jordan 12 French Blue, Rudy Gay opted for the blue Air Jordan 2 “Just Don,” and Derrick Williams broke out the Air Jordan 5 Black/Metallic Silvers as the Kings eked out a 107-106 victory over lowly Philadelphia.

NBA Jordans Daily: Joe Johnson Splits Time In Melo M11 & XX9

March 24th, 2015 By

The Brooklyn Nets are technically still in the playoff race (currently 11th in the East) but their fortunes are fading with a 4-6 record in their last 10 games, and Boston and Charlotte scrapping out in front. In fact, the Celtics came into Brooklyn on Monday and grabbed a 110-91 win, pushing the Nets further down while nestling into the 8th seed themselves.

That about sums the 2014-15 Nets season – fighting every game, losing most of them, still trying to figure out how in three short years excitement and title talk has turned into a roster bereft of talent and an owner trying to flip the franchise to someone with fresh optimism.
