Air Jordan XVI “XX8 Days Of Flight” Pops Back Up

April 14th, 2015 By

Will there be an Air Jordan “Days of Flight” redux soon? It was just two years ago that Jordan Brand regaled us with installment photographs of each numbered Air Jordan in a consistent black and green makeup known as the “XX8 Days of Flight” series. This was a countdown celebration – or count-up, technically – leading to the introduction of Air Jordan XX8 in February 2013. But since these photos of a similarly styled sample Air Jordan XVI have popped up with what looks like a 2015 date stamp on the tongue tag, fans might have something to be curious about. What do you think, would bringing out the never-retail-released “XX8 Days of Flight” series be a welcome sight for the sneaker community?

A Look at Each Air Jordan Signature in a “Chicago” Colorway

September 11th, 2014 By

The Nike World Basketball Festival arrived in Chicago last month as Team USA prepared for the 2014 FIBA World  Cup. There was even more to look at though, as today we get a look at 27 of Mike’s signature sneakers outfitted in a white-based Chicago-esque colorway in a great exhibit that shows the progression of the line. Which is your favorite? Be sure to grab a look at each sneaker after the click and let us know in the comments section. All photos courtesy of Sneaker News.

Joe Johnson Wears Air Jordan 16 Retro “Nets” PE

May 5th, 2014 By

Joe Johnson showed up to play in Game 7 in a hostile a crowd as there ever was in Toronto, netting 26 points. He did so wearing a subtle Air Jordan 16 retro as well, ditching the overlay strap for a cleaner look that had the sneaker make use of a contrasting black upper with white patent leather ont he toebox to back heel. And while most of the news coming out of last weekend had to do with the equal as matching Air Jordan 11 Low “Concord” it’s nice to see the guard make use of one of the more unheralded retro on the hardwood. Hit the click for a better view and stay tuned for what he’ll be wearing next once the Nets take on the Heat tomorrow night.

Air Jordan Elements Series Expands for 2014

January 7th, 2014 By

After 2013 saw two colorways of the Air Jordan 3Lab5 atop the Air Jordan 5 that fell perfectly in tune with the silhouette’s 23rd anniversary, it looks like the Air Jordan ‘Elements Series’ will have much more in store for 2014. How about six possible sneakers under the Lab Series family tree? Based on a preview image of the packaging paper donning different periodic squares, there’s the Air Jordan 2 “It” (Italy for the leather used on the sneaker), the Air Jordan 3 “El” – which we detailed earlier in the day as the brand new 3M donning Air Jordan 3 “5Lab3″, Air Jordan 4 “S” (for the shoe’s cement speckle), the Air Jordan 11 “PL” (which can be assumed that stands for the standard patent leather), Air Jordan 15 “W” (which could potentially stand for a Woven iteration), and the Air Jordan 20 “Ls” (Laser). While we can’t tell which shoes will combine for each mash-up, for example which silhouette will wind up with the 4’s cement speckle or the patent leather belonging to the Air Jordan 11, it’s definitely an exciting development. Stick with us after the click to give us your predictions and stay tuned for more ‘Lab Series’ updates.

Air Jordan 10 & Air Jordan 16 “Christmas” PEs for Ray Allen

December 26th, 2013 By

It’s a time honored tradition within the Jordan Brand family tree that Ray Allen receives some of the best player exclusives of any Jordan athlete. It makes sense – Jesus Shuttlesworth has never rocked his own signature sneaker with the brand and instead has opted to be an outlier on the perimeter, wearing whatever covetable exclusive the brand throws at him. This Christmas was no different either, as the Jumpman gave the NBA’s all-time 3-point leader two pairs to choose from: for the first half it was a festive red leather Air Jordan 10 with green accents and for the second he donned the Air Jordan XVI. Hit the gallery to see official photos of each sneaker and let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Air Jordan XVI Retro: Black – Gym Red – White – Metallic Silver | Unreleased Sample

June 6th, 2013 By

Another sample has arrived from the category of unreleased Air Jordan XVI retros. It appears a decent run of pairs were produced to test things out, but rumors report that the overall process was too expensive to be able to bring the shoe back to market at a reasonable price. They can still be had though-you’ve just gotta go the auction route. Flip through our gallery after the jump to see the Air Jordan XVI retro in a black and white, kind of “Concord” looking combo and then bid on them from oregonsole on eBay.
