Today we get a look at one of his best player exclusives to date in this Air Jordan 8 featuring a simple white, black and grey aesthetic for his time spent with the San Antonio Spurs. Air Jordan 8: Chris Paul “New Orleans Hornets” PE – Available on eBay

June 24th, 2014 By

Chris Paul and the Clippers may have fallen short this year, but the All-Star point guard and easy selection for an All-NBA team has come a long way since his days in New Orleans. It’s always fun to remember CP3 putting in work for an undermanned Hornets squad that challenged Western Conference royalty as an upstart in the mid-2000s though and is always something Jordan Brand fans will look at to see some crazy player exclusives. Before the likes of the Jordan CP3 line, Chris had an affinity for the Air Jordan 8 of all silhouettes (a far cry from his slimmed down low tops that fit his playing style much more than the dual straps on Mike’s eighth signature). While we peeped the Home iteration not too long ago, today we get a view of the black pair that gets a CP3 PE stitching on ankle support while accents of teal and yellow fall throughout the sneaker. What do you think? Grab more after the click and pick your pair up via jonallon80 on eBay.

Air Jordan 8: “Reflective” – Unreleased Sample

June 23rd, 2014 By

The Air Jordan 8 hasn’t seen a retro since last summer’s Playoff rendition, but it looks like Jordan Brand has had some big advancements in the works atop the classic sneaker for quite some time. With all of the 3M features in the Jordan line up thanks to the Lab Series and an overall want of more reflective gear, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that this sample features the material atop the toebox and underlay. Get a look at this rare sample after the jump and let us know if you’d like to see Mike’s eighth signature return with some reflective touches by penning your thoughts in the comments.

Air Jordan 8: Chris Paul “Hornets” PE – Available on eBay

June 18th, 2014 By

Chris Paul may be a perennial MVP candidate yet the All-Star guard is yet to make the leap to the promised land of an NBA Finals birth or bring home the most valuable player hardware. Perhaps the closest Chris Paul has ever come was with an underwhelming Hornets team that pushed the San Antonio Spurs to the brink of elimination with a thrilling 7 game series in 2008. And while that Hornets team was later deconstructed and sent Paul packing to Los Angeles, it’s always fun to remember Paul’s obsession with winning through a fresh player exclusive. The latest find is this Air Jordan 8 “Hornets” PE, one that utilizes a white leather base while accents of teal and that yellow indicative of the Hornets’ time in New Orleans after the move from Charlotte, hit the ’23’ strap and Jumpman branding. Hit the click for a better view and grab them today via jonalion80 on eBay.

Vintage Gear: Air Jordan 8 Graphic Tank

January 16th, 2014 By

Will the Air Jordan 8 return for 2014 in retro form? While we saw the “Playoff” edition hit retailers in the middle of 2013, we’re still unsure about the resurgence of the infamous double strapped silhouette. While the eighth silhouette still maintains a sort of cult status amongst Jordan collectors – it’s a shoe that you either love or hate – today’s vintage gear will definitely appease the fans of the sneaker as we get a look at an Air Jordan 8 inspired tank top in an “Aqua” like colorway. The tank comes in a purple while bright yellow writing sees ‘Air Jordan’ strike the side of the shirt vertically while the circular logo seen on the Air Jodan VIII tongue is displayed prominently on the chest. Stick with us after the jump to get more images of this rare Air Jordan 8 inspired tank top and know that this item can be yours today via mclamail on eBay.

NBA Jordans on Court: Around the League – 1/08 – 1/09

January 10th, 2014 By

Players’ affections towards the Jumpman is only growing, and our latest NBA Jordans on Court definitely represents that. The Raptors continue to be one of the Eastern Conference teams that are gelling in the New Year, as it seems like the wide open East playoff seeding is more appealing than tanking to Canada’s team. DeMar DeRozan is a budding star and he chose the Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” in a recent game. Meanwhile, the Air Jordan XII seems to have replaced the Air Jordan 10 as the league’s go to retro – Joe Johnson and Nate Robinson both picked the “Taxi” and “Gamma Blue” respectively. Get with us after the click for our latest NBA Jordans on Court recap and let us know which pair was your favorite in the comments.
