Where were you in the early hours of January 28, 2006? A good guess would be that you were feverishly refreshing your browser to get the Air Jordan VI/XI “Defining Moments” pack to load, so maybe just maybe you could add-to-cart and navigate your way through the server. The DMP, as it was colloquially known at the time, was among Jordan Brand’s first batch of packs to drop, and it honored Michael Jordan’s first and fourth NBA title wins with gold-kissed versions of Air Jordan VI and Air Jordan XI. The significance of each model was that Jordan wore the VI to win his first ring – huge milestone – and the XI to win his first ring of the comeback second three-peat run.

Look who it is again, our old pal Air Jordan 6 “60/40.” First making waves in Fall 2013 as photos trickled out here and there, this decidedly Chicago Bulls-centric unreleased sample from 2010 sports an uncommon combo of black full grain leather up front, black nubuck at the back. From there, red cloth inside, white midsole flares, translucent red tread, and stripe of silver on the heel pull complete the look.

“Cactus and Clay” Air Jordan 6 PEs for Macklemore

October 21st, 2014 By

Macklemore stays winning. Besides all of the Grammy hardware he took home, the man has a fairly strong Jordan Brand connect as his past Melo M10 PEs showed a strong calling for monochromatic looks. Now Macklemore got his shot at two brand new Air Jordan 6 looks, each using what they’re calling a flooded suede in Cactus and Clay colorways. The all green cactus was initially thought to be a callout to his Evergreen state of Washington while the Clay features a more Chicago-centric flare. Stay tuned for more Player Exclusives right here on Jordans Daily and let us know what you think of these contrasting suede Jordan 6s in the comments section.

Air Jordan 6: “Black/Infrared” from 1991 – Available on eBay

October 3rd, 2014 By

There will eventually come a time when original runs of the Air Jordan retro series are depleted from stocks. They already serve as antiqued memorabilia, there soles yellow with age and crackling under pressure and erosion. The Air Jordan 6 is celebrating its 23rd anniversary this year, and we’re still waiting on the Air Jordan 6 “Black/Infrared” in what could be the most anticipated retro of 2014. How does the original stack up in comparison? Today we get a look at an aged pair, one that features the 3M perforations with that luxe material still in fairly good condition. Check out more images after the break and grab this rare find from hotairs1 on eBay.

Air Jordan 6 GS: White – Bright Grape – Deep Royal – Fierce Green

September 22nd, 2014 By

The Air Jordan 6 “Sport Blue” returned to store shelves recently, and we won’t see another Air Jordan 6 until the Black Friday release brings us a certain OG Infrared style, but in the meantime, the kids and ladies have an option for October 11th. The pair features a near Sport Blue aesthetic thanks to a white upper and Deep Royal midsole, but that’s where the comparisons end. The Fierce Green on the laces and bottom half of the shoe makes this pair give off a Seattle Seahawks-like vibe, but Earl Thomas won’t be fitting into this GS exclusive anytime soon. What do you think? There’s more photos after the click and let us know if you plan on grabbing a pair come 10/11.
