The Air Jordan VI “Infrared”, the one featuring the white base, will release again in February of 2014. Given how far out that date is there are of course no actual images of the sneaker to be had at the moment, but a style number does indeed exist. Next year will be the 23rd anniversary of the design, so it doesn’t exactly come as a big surprise to see the sneakers back around. The Air Jordan VI was originally worn during Mike’s first championship in 1991, so it makes sense that Derek Jeter would lace these up during the Yankees’ 2000 World Series run. Outfitted with an official signature, these PE’s last touched the diamond 13 seasons ago.  The cleats sport an all black upper and with noticeable exclusive features like the number 2 under the Jumpman logo. Do you remember the packaging that some of the smaller sized Air Jordans used to come with? This pair, “crib” version of the Air Jordan VI “Infrared”, come packaged in a tough tin instead of your standard shoebox. Also of note is the model designation on the box, which calls them the “Jordan ’91″ rather than call them out by a particular number. Getting away from the elephant print-obsessed scene, this new custom job from Ramses remixes the Air Jordan VI with a little bit of a lesser known pattern from the Nike canon. That would be that of the Nike Air Carnivore, a model whose teal based colorway is also transferred over to MJ’s sixth on this pair. Sneaker customizer Mache has built up quite the rolodex, as athletes and superstars of all caliber are currently calling on the man to whip up some special sneaks. The Chicago Bulls’ own Nate Robinson commisioned a whole set, including an Air Jordan XI, Air Jordan XI, and two pairs of the Air Jordan XIII.
