Air Jordan 3: Bape x Ice Cream by JBF Customs

A Bathing Ape and Air Jordans have been synonymous since the rise of streetwear culture, as many proclaimed their favorite retros accompanied by the infamous camouflage styling of Nigo’s world famous brand. Leave it to JBF Customs to make the connection, as he outfitted a pair of Air Jordan 3s with the signature Bape camo in an enticing red. But he didn’t stop there either, as the sneaker’s midsole drips down the side to reference the Japanese streetwear legend’s Ice Cream label as well. Add in a custom Bape heel and this is one of the better Air Jordan 3 customs we’ve seen yet. Check out the custom Air Jordan 3 after the click and stay tuned for more custom kicks right here on JordansDaily.

Drake Gives Another Preview of His Air Jordan 3 6IX PE

Drake’s next album already has a ton of hype surrounding it, and it even has a title, Views from the Six, in which the rapper pays homage to his time growing up in Toronto. Not one to be shy about his Canadian roots, the newly inked Jordan Brand family member even has the 6IX stitching (a reference to the different area codes featuring the number) on his latest creation – an all metallic gold Air Jordan 3. While we’re sad to hear the news that Jordan Brand plans on putting Mike’s third signature back in the vaults for the foreseeable future, it will only add to their legacy, and the news makes this Air Jordan III exclusive all the more, well, exclusive. What do yo think of the sneaker? Hit the click to see the OVO/Toronto callout and stay tuned for more PEs right here on JordansDaily.

Usher Previews Air Jordan 3 Gold PE in Honey Nut Cheerios Ad

Which Air Jordan 3 “Gold” PE do you prefer? The metallic sheen of Usher’s or the Toronto-inspired motif in Drake’s? Regardless, the fact that the Air Jordan 3 is going back into the vaults, and each sneaker features a mesmerizing gold hue makes both offerings a limited affair anyone can be jealous of. Usher recently gave us the best look at his favorite Air Jordan III pair in a Honey Nut Cheerios commercial, so hit the click to see the entire spot, and let us know which pair you prefer by penning your thoughts in the comments section.

Drake Showcases His Air Jordan 3 Gold PE

When Drake inked a deal to be an ambassador of the Toronto Raptors, it was a surprising move by the organization, but it made sense given the rappers affiliation with his hometown. Then there was the news shortly after that Drizzy would be an official part of the Jordan Brand family. That came as a bigger surprise, but the pair has made the teaming up work. This has obviously come with a series of perks, and by that we mean a number of Air Jordan 3 exclusives, ranging from the Drake vs. Lil Wayne tour pairs and this all gold variety. In this look, we get to see the toebox featuring 6IX (his next album will be called Views from the Six in an homage to Toronto). Are you envious of the premium all-gold style of this Air Jordan 3 yet? A Look at Each Air Jordan Signature in a Chicago Colorway

The Nike World Basketball Festival arrived in Chicago last month as Team USA prepared for the 2014 FIBA World  Cup. The event also brought Chicago an exclusive that was the Air Jordan 14 “Ferrari” nearly a month before anyone else got a hold of that brand new colorway. There was even more to look at though, as today we get a look at 27 of Mike’s signature sneakers outfitted in a white-based Chicago-esque colorway in a great exhibit that shows the progression of the line. Which is your favorite? Be sure to grab a look at each sneaker after the click and let us know in the comments section. All photos courtesy of Sneaker News.

Drake Showcases New Air Jordan 3 Drake vs. Lil Wayne PEs

We’re going to miss the Air Jordan 3 until Jordan Brand decides to bring the classic retro out of the vaults at an unspecified date. Fortunately for Drake, he has a strong enough report with Jordan Brand, having inked a deal with them to be an official part of the family, that he continues to get special edition pairs for his Drake vs Lil Wayne Tour. The latest pairs feature an alternating white or black while a yellow to orange gradient hits the laces and lining. Where do these rank compared to Drizzy’s other pick ups? Alexander Wang’s Spring 2015 Collection Uses Elephant Print

Alexander Wangs Spring 2015 Collection Uses Elephant Print

Sneaker culture has infiltrated the fashion world for quite some time now (just look at Russell Westbrook’s partnering with Barneys for an original, luxurious take on some Jordan Brand apparel) but its widespread usage continues to grow. At this year’s New York Fashion Week, designer Alexander Wang debuted a new Spring/Summer 2015 collection that nodded at a number of Nike inovations over the years, from a bag with air max tooling and a sneaker outsole to a model hitting the runway clad in elephant print. While we’re sad that the Air Jordan 3 will be going back into the vault for the foreseeable future, its lingering influence continues to arrive beyond Jordan models, and that’s a noteworthy development fans of the brand can be proud of. Hit the click for more images of Alexander Wang’s Spring 2015 sneaker-inspired collection.

Jordan Brand to Halt Production of Air Jordan 3 Retros

Jordan Brand to Halt Production of Air Jordan 3 Retros

Plenty of exciting news has come out in this past week between the Jordan Brand Holiday 2014 Preview and the unveiling of both the Remastered Collection of retros and Chris Paul’s Jordan CP3.VIII. But there was a bit of unfortunate news: the Jumpman will be putting the Air Jordan 3 back into the vaults for the foreseeable future. According to Jordan Brand VP of Footwear David Schechter, the AIr Jordan 3 will be going on hiatus to allow the remastering process to breathe new life into the brand until the sneaker is ready to return. This comes after years of Mike’s third signature being a staple in the catalogue, releasing every year in a bevy of old school and new colorways. Are you sad to see it go? Be sure to stay tuned for more updates right here on Jordans Daily.

Roger Federer Laces Up Nike Zoom Vapor Tour Air Jordan 3 at 2014 US Open

August 27th, 2014 By

Roger Federer Laces Up Nike Zoom Vapor Tour Air Jordan 3 at 2014 US Open

Roger Federer took to the US Open last night, but it was a fairly special occasion for sneakerheads as they got to see one of the best tennis players in the world showcase the new Nike Zoom Vapor Tour Air Jordan 3. The pair was a culmination of two rather disconnected Tinker creations in the Air Jordan 3 and the tennis silhouette, and channeled the White/Cement look rather well. It even took the retro Nike Air branding to task on the heel as a leather contrasted with the elephant print. What do you think? The pair dropped today at select Nike retailers for a cool $200. Check out more on-feet looks of Roger Federer wearing this Tinker Hatfield creation in our gallery and let us know what you think of the shoe by penning your thoughts in the comments section.

An Official Look at the NikeCourt Zoom Vapor AJ3 by Jordan

August 26th, 2014 By

An Official Look at the NikeCourt Zoom Vapor AJ3 by Jordan

Jordan Brand has branched out quite a bit for 2014. There’s the ongoing Air Jordan 1 collaboration with Nike SB (we’re still waiting on a third pair that’s rumored to drop late Fall) along with a number of other exciting lifestyle releases like the Jordan Future and Jordan Shine. But an Air Jordan tennis shoe? The NikeCourt Zoom Vapor AJ3 combines two Tinker Hatfield designs in the Air Jordan 3 and his Nike Zoom Vapor for Roger Federer’s journey through the US Open. A surprising collaboration to say the least, the shoe takes on the aesthetic of Mike’s classic White/Cement third signature thanks to a leather upper and cement elephant print on the heel and toebox. The sneaker even features that classic ‘Nike Air’ branding to further the Air Jordan 3 motif. What do you think? Hit the click for more official photos and know that you can grab a pair tomorrow, August 27th from select Nike Lab retailers and the Jordan Flight 23 store in NYC.
