Jimmy Jackson Learns Not to Trash Talk Michael Jordan while Wearing Air Jordans

Jimmy Jackson Learns Not to Trash Talk Michael Jordan while Wearing Air Jordans

Kendall Gill knows something about Air Jordan sneakers. The man was ushered into the post-Jordan era of Jordan Brand and was one of the first players to be delegated a player exclusive thanks to the thought process behind the Air Jordan 10. Mike would end up returning to the league to play against players wearing his own sneakers which definitely caused some awkward scenarios here and there. While announcing an NBA Summer League game, Gill told a story about his then New Jersey Nets teammate Jimmy Jackson’s altercation with His Airness. While Jackson was beating up Mike in a particular game, he decided to start trash talking, (or “talk mess to Superman” as Kendall put it) but MJ had the perfect response: “you know, you’re talking a lot of stuff to have my shoes on.” While we don’t know the exact sneaker Jackson laced up, his former teammate would say that it was a model under the Jumpman Team category and not a signature. Michael Jordan Selected by Chicago Bulls in 1984 Draft 30 Years Ago Today

Let the 30th Anniversary of all things Jordan begin because on this day three decades ago, Michael Jordan was drafted by the Chicago Bulls with the third pick in the 1984 Draft. This particular draft is widely considered to be the greatest in NBA history thanks to the likes of Hakeem Olajuwon being drafted 1st overall, with steals like Charles Barkley and John Stockton going later in the draft. It was the inclusion of Jordan though, who entered early after finishing his Junior year at the University of North Carolina, who gave this draft the classic status, as he would go on to win 6 NBA Championships, 5 MVP awards, along with becoming the consensus choice as the greatest to ever hit the hardwood. As always, stick with Jordans Daily for all of your Jordan History and hit the click to watch the broadcast footage of that year’s draft.

Michael Jordan Won His First NBA Title 23 Years Ago Today

The Air Jordan 6 is currently celebrating its 23rd anniversary, and besides the architecture of the shoe – one in which sneakerheads have praised since its inception thanks to the Porche inspired heel tab, alternating leather side panels and aerodynamic design – it is also the silhouette that Mike won his first championship in. Michael Jordan’s Net Worth Now $1 Billion

June 12th, 2014 By

Michael Jordans Net Worth Now $1 Billion

Michael Jordan is now worth over $1 Billion. Forbes made the announcement earlier today after they pegged his annual earning close to $90 Million at the beginning of this year. So how did MJ earn his fortune? Well, it didn’t necessarily come directly from playing basketball, but being the best to ever lace up a pair of signatures definitely played a roll in all of this. Kurt Badenhausen, Dean of athlete earnings at Forbes, found that Mike increased his stake in the now Charlotte Hornets nearly 10% within the last year to reach an 89.5% majority owner stake. And despite the Hornet’s current $135 million, which Jordan looks to change in the near future thanks to fielding a better team, increasing Jordan Brand sales and a plethora of new Hornets merchandise since the name change, he’s the newest member of the billionaire club. Congrats, Mike. What do you think of Michael Jordan joining the ranks of billionaire status? Stay tuned for more Michael Jordan news right here on Jordans Daily.
