It’s been a while since we saw a Michael Jordan Motorsports pair of Air Jordans. Since there’s bit of a drought going on, we might as well go ahead and spotlight one of the previous pairs to come from that sector. Shown here is the Air Jordan V “Motorsports”, one of them that never get a retail release. It’s been a while since we’ve seen an Air Jordan release transferred over into cake form. The latest to transfer Michael Jordan’s beloved footwear line into a confectionery treat is this Air Jordan IV ‘Thunder’ cake. It seems that the folks who are usually devoted enough MJ fanatics to get a sneaker-style cake lean towards the OG colorways, but we’re definitely not knocking the ‘Thunder’ selection here. The Michael Jordan Motorsports team has an awesome new Air Jordan inspired bike in the form of this Suzuki GSX-R100. The ride picks up its look from the Air Jordan XX8 ‘Blue Camo’, sporting the same linear camo pattern in that crisp blue tone. We’ve told you about the results of Michael Jordan Motorsports riders Roger Lee Hayden and Ben Bostrom before, but we’ve never gone as far as to take you on the bikes with them. This new set of videos from the Jordan Motorsports does just that-taking you on a few laps with both their big name riders at various race tracks around the country. The Jordan Motorsports team picked up their first win of the season over the weekend, with team rider Roger Hayden locking down first place at the initial race at the Homestead-Miami AMA SuperBike series. Hayden was emotional in his post-race interview, quick to shout out the team that got him there with “I’ve got to thank my team, Michael Jordan Motorsports, and the National Guard, because last year nobody really wanted to give me a chance — they thought I was used goods. I think today made it look like they made the right choice. We try to keep you updated on the various pieces of Air Jordan apparel that pop up on a daily basis, but it’s not too often we get an update in that group from the Michael Jordan Motorsports wing of the MJ empire. That drought is over today, with the team recently upping a gang of exclusive Fall 2012 apparel that includes a couple of polos bearing details from the Jumpman lineage, a quick logo tee, and the fitted pictured above. The Michael Jordan Motorsports crew continues to turn in solid finishes, with team riders Ben Bostrom and Roger Lee Hayden both showing up for the AMA Pro National Guard SuperBike Race in Monterey, CA over the weekend. Bostrom locked down his fifth top five of the season while Hayden also chalked up a solid eight place finish, forced to overcome a slight mid race slip up. The results come hot on the heels of one of the team’s best performances of the season from the Mid-Ohio SuperBike Race of a couple weeks back. It’s been a minute since we updated you on the Michael Jordan Motorsports team, and our latest check in finds MJ’s squad making him proud with some strong finishes in the latest leg of the 2012 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike series that just went down at the Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA. Team rider Roger Lee Hayden managed to post his best result of the year, taking down second place and boosting him up to third place as far as overall point holders in the series, with Ben Bostrom acting as no slouch either and happily adding a fourth place finish to his belt.
