Dipset Squares Off Against Fools Gold Records at Terminal 23

Jordan Brand opened up an exclusive basketball court known as Terminal 23 in Midtown Manhattan to celebrate Carmelo Anthony’s tenth year with Jordan Brand. As a result a number of games have been played there with some pretty exclusive match ups, the latest being a competition between Fool’s Gold Records and Dipset. Harlem rapper and Dipset affiliate Cam’ron is currently working on a project with Fool’s Gold founder A-Trak. And while a good portion of the time was spent trash talking, by the time the game was finished, the Diplomats came out on top. Jordan Jumpman Team 1: Black White Available

When Jordan Brand became its own brand during the 1997 NBA Season, Mike made sure to lace up a number of NBA players in their own ‘Team’ shoe – the first of its kind to feature the Jumpman insignia and be doled out to supporting role players – in the form of the Jordan Team 1. The likes of Scottie Pippen and then later, Ray Allen, would sport pairs and today we get a look at an OG colorway in the form of this black and white pair. The shoe brings back recollections of the Air Jordan 12 “Playoffs” with an asymmetrical mudguard contrasting the predominantly black upper in white, while the shoe’s back heel features a gym red circular plate with the words ‘Jordan Basketball Team’. Be sure to head to the gallery for a better look at this Jordan Team 1 in a classic black and white and know that you can pick up your size today via Finishline.

Tony Wroten Misquoted Over Jordan Apology

Tony Wroten Misquoted Over Jordan Apology

It appears that neither Tony Wroten nor his agent ever received a call from Michael Jordan over the mishap of his Air Jordan 10 and its broken sole during a game against the Indiana Pacers. Initially reported by The Delaware News Journal, they quoted Wroten as saying that he had received an apology call from the head honcho of the Jumpman himself last week after the Air Jordan 10 Retro broke down on court. “He called my agent,” the paper quoted Wroten. Subsequent media outlets reported on the story, including us, but now Wroten’s agent Greg Lawrence told ESPN.com about the misquote. “Tony told me that the media asked him if he thought Jordan would apologize and he answered, ‘He can call my agent.” Do you think Tony still deserves that apology? Stick with us after the click for images of the incident and stay tuned for more Jordan news.

Michael Jordan Apologized After Tony Wrotens Air Jordan 10 Tore Apart

Things aren’t going so well for the Philadelphia 76ers this season. Currently in the midst of a historically awful 22 game losing streak, the tanking Sixers don’t have much to look forward to besides the end of this season and the upcoming NBA Draft. To make matters worse, in a game against the top-seeded Indiana Pacers, guard Tony Wroten’s Air Jordan 10 fell apart on court. If that doesn’t personify the Sixers season, where they can’t even keep their shoes from falling apart, then we don’t know what does. Luckily, Michael Jordan got on the phone and called Wroten’s agent to personally apologize. The guard has been known to wear Air Jordan retros on court throughout the entire season, so will this change what he decides to wear? Hit the click to see the video of the sneaker fail in action and stick with Jordans Daily for all your Air Jordan news.

Michael Jordan Returned to the NBA 19 Years Ago Today

Michael Jordan Returned to the NBA 19 Years Ago Today

19 years ago today, Michael Jordan laced up a pair of the Air Jordan 10 “Chicago” after a 17 month hiatus from the game of basketball and faced off against the Indiana Pacers. Usually reserved for boos at number 23, Michael Jordan donned a number 45 to honor his late father and received a standing ovation against his Eastern Conference Rival. And even though he had a fairly poor shooting night (Mike made only 7 of his 28 attempts for 19 points) the two word press release leaked the day before reading “I’m back” was some of the best news the NBA and sporting world could have received.

Air Jordan 10: “Seamless” Italian Leather Sample

Air Jordan 10: Seamless Italian Leather Sample

Jordan Brand has tried some crazy things before in terms of rare samples that never make it to store shelves, but perhaps the craziest pair has been the Italian leather seamless samples of the Air Jordan 10. After all, the ninth and tenth signatures are the least loved in terms of most on-feet appearances by Michael Jordan thanks to his abrupt retirement. Today we get a look at a one of one two piece test session that features the seamless leather silhouette, but takes it a step further by imprinting a detailed shade of Mike’s face on one sneaker while his number 23 is engraved on the other foot. Feature a white on white scheme, this is one of the more outlandish Air Jordan 10s possibly ever. What do you think of this rare 1 of 1 sample?
