Michael Jordan was closing out his NBA career in Washington when Air Jordan 18 debuted in 2003. As MJ’s team colors had gone from Bulls red to Wizards blue, his Tate Kuerbis-designed signature shoe reflected the switch. Yet in August 2003, Jordan Brand released this Bulls-compatible colorway for purists, giving fans a tangible “home” look as if MJ still played 41 games at the United Center.
