Tinkering with arguably the most famous sneaker ever created is a tough proposition. The mesh and patent leather formula has been iconic since 1995, influencing sneaker design to this very day and defining athletic footwear’s highest aesthetic aspirations.
However, instead of churning out another variation on the successful mesh/patent theme, Jordan Brand is recasting the design in wool as a cold weather release. Gone are the two-tones, with muted dark grey textile covering everything in bespoke style.
We’ll see how the remix plays with the Air Jordan faithful, pending an official release, of course. Stay tuned on that front and check the angles below.
