We kick off this week’s #MJMondays with a quick look back at Game 3 of the 1996 NBA Eastern Conference semifinals.
With a 2-0 series lead, Michael Jordan and the Bulls headed to New York to try to wrest full control of the series from the Knicks. And they nearly did as Michael Jordan, wearing the Air Jordan 11 Low IE “Bred” for the second time in three games, put up a monster 46-point performance.
However, the Knicks outlasted the Bulls in overtime, 102-99, thanks to 30 points by John Starks, and 22 points and 13 rebounds from Patrick Ewing. It was their only win of the series.
Relive some of MJ’s typically clutch plays from Game 3 below.
