Michael Jordan was Sports Illustrated‘s unquestioned Sportsman of the Year in 1991, captured in a sweet hologram cover that immediately became a collectible. Easy to see why. Jordan and the Chicago Bulls had finally broken through the Detroit Pistons and conquered the Los Angeles Lakers in five game to clinch their first NBA title. Then, there was the personal accolades.
