The “Wings” tag is as synonymous with Michael Jordan as his “Air Jordan” nickname. It arrived on the scene in logo form in 1985 with Air Jordan 1, became the theme of a widescreen Michael Jordan poster print a few years later, and secured its place in Air Jordan history as MJ continued his high-flying career of excellence. Jordan Brand seems to be tapping into that aura with this upcoming Air Jordan 12 edition. The black and white colorway shouts “Playoffs” but the added touches of gold and a heel tag silhouetting that poster print point to a Wings inspiration. That and the fact that the midsole tabs actually say it. Peep the pics below and let us know if you’re planning to pick these up when they drop in April.
