Perhaps more than any other player in the last 20 years, Kobe Bryant has come the closest to dominating the NBA the way Michael Jordan did. Such is Jordan’s respect for Bryant that the former Bulls legend maintains a close connection with Bryant and even filmed a tribute video for the Lakers star’s final game in Charlotte.
That respect manifested yet again last night at a special Jordan Brand event, with Jordan himself presenting Bryant with complete sets of Air Jordans 1 through XXX in all-white – including the highly coveted white “Lakers” PEs Bryant wore during his 2002-03 sneaker free agent season.
But Kobe isn’t the only one with the opportunity to own these exclusive kicks. Jordan Brand is auctioning an all-black set on eBay for serious collectors. And not only do you have to have serious coin to play, you need to be pre-qualified to bid much like the Eminem x Carhartt x Air Jordan 4s. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation.
