If you were in elementary school around 1990, these were your February 14th jam. Michael Jordan valentines were yet another extension of the massive Air Jordan merchandising machine in the late ’80s and early ’90s, enabling kids of all ages to express their appreciation while maintaining ultimate Jordan fandom. And today it’s a bit of a bittersweet time capsule – back then if someone communicated “You’re cool!” to you, that was a high compliment. Not sure if “Time out for fun!” ever worked but hey, A for effort. Somewhat surprisingly, you can find unopened boxes of these 25 year old gems through eBay. More Vintage Gear on the way this week.
