When the Michigan Wolverines football squad takes the field in 2016, the Jumpman logo will be right there with them.
According to University of Michigan interim athletic director Jim Hackett, Jordan Brand’s iconic silhouette of Michael Jordan has been included on the football team’s new uniforms.
“(The Jumpman logo) is on the uniform,” Hackett told media on Wednesday. “I’ve seen the design.”
Nike’s deal with the University of Michigan, a pact worth $169 million that runs through 2031, includes the option of using the Jumpman logo on apparel and footwear for the school’s basketball programs as well.
The clause was punctuated in August when Michael Jordan revealed via video that Michigan would be Jordan Brand’s first sponsored college football team.
