Once upon a time, there was a versatile power forward named Vin Baker. Played his best pro years with the Milwaukee Bucks and Seattle SuperSonics from 1993-2002 – nearly 17 points and 8 boards per game. Was one of the early Team members of Jordan Brand in the late ’90s and even fielded his own signature sneaker, the Jumpman Vindicate. This was the heyday of Team Jordan sneakers, with the Vindicate, Team 1, Team 2, Jumpman All-Star, Jumpman Pro, and Pro Strong (another shoe Vin wore) completely dominating alongside the Air Jordan signature line. Like its stablemates, the Vindicate sported a very organic design, two-tone, with high quality leather construction and enough herringbone tread worthy of a car tire. Jordan Brand still hasn’t brought this one back but with talk swirling around the Team II returning, we could see Vin’s shoe back sooner than we think. Get a closer look at this sick shoe from 1999 below, shop them on eBay, and stay tuned for more Daily Jordan.
