If there’s one thing the official stock photos of next Saturday’s Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux” release reveals, it’s history – a slice of Jordan Brand even more important now that the brand is 30 years into a journey of unparalleled sneaker brilliance. Short of fueling up Mr. Fusion with soda cans and setting the DeLorean’s time circuits to mid-1992, the 2015 “remastered” Bordeaux is the closest yet to the original. The colorway was welcomed back for the first time in 2011, but that release felt off, an approximation. Hence, the remastering process to not just bring Jordans back but bring them back correctly (see Air Jordan 1 OG High “Bulls,” and the upcoming Air Jordan 6 “Maroon” and Air Jordan 4 “White/Cement”). Will this trend continue and which Jordans will get the Nike Air treatment in the coming years?
