Jordan Brand takes the Air Jordan 1 upscale with the “Rare Air” releases slated to drop over the summer. This is the Black/University Red-Anthracite-White issue, taking a classic Chicago Bulls tact with black and red tumbled leather, textile insets, and a whiteout sole. But you’re likely eying the details, namely a glaring lack of Air Jordan Wings logos and the Nike Air tongue tags nowhere to be found. In their place, “Rare Air” stamping and a removable Velcro patch that transitions the shoe from Jumpman status to Rare Air with the flick of your wrist. Select retailers in Europe are receiving this Rare Air 1 now, so investigate if you don’t want to wait to track down a pair domestically. We’re still waiting for more details on these Rare Airs, so stay tuned.
