The Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux” will certainly be a welcome sight for many a sneakerhead when it arrives in stores four weeks from now. This classic from early 1992, first seen on Michael Jordan’s feet in the All-Star Game, has since become a quintessential Air Jordan shoe that represents the period in which it originally released to full measure. Kind of like a wearable time capsule. In ’92, Nike Basketball was all about expressive sneakers with the Air Jordan 7, Air Raid, Air Flight Huarache, and Air Ballistic Force. This was the time of Cross Colours clothing, and rap and hip hop becoming mainstream pop culture. Somehow it all just fit together. You’ll be able to recapture that vibe when the Bordeauxs hit shelves – hopefully unencumbered by stupid bots – on July 18th.
