Quick look at the Air Jordan “1.5” due up on July 25th. By all accounts this is a very historic sneaker, a version of the Air Jordan 1 that Michael Jordan wore during his rookie season 30 years ago and that hasn’t been made available to sneakerheads all this time. Yet, with the Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Bulls” and Air Jordan 1 Pinnacle tag-teaming retail next Saturday, May 30th, it sort of feels as though the 1.5 isn’t getting the hype and attention you’d think it would. Is it simply not different enough from the OG “Bulls” release to warrant shelling out another $150+ for a different sole and slightly different tagging? Is Jordan Brand not going for a blockbuster release and instead providing a niche shoe as a 30th anniversary treat? Should be interesting to see how quickly the OG “Bulls” moves on 5/30 and how quickly the 1.5 moves on 7/25. Let us know your thoughts on these very similar retros, and which pairs you plan on picking up.
