With bringbacks of the Oreo 4, Bred 11 Low (this Saturday) and Citrus 11 Low (6/20/15), perhaps there’s a spot at the hit retro table for the Air Jordan 4 “Cool Grey.” Originally released on September 25th, 2004, the Cool Grey 4 was the first grey-based 4 and part of the “Cool Grey” retro movement of the early ’00s. These also took the 4 into new territory with nubuck replacing the TPU plastic wings and heel tabs for a more casual look. The one drawback of the ’04 Cool Grey 4 was that white midsole paint cracking and chipping a few wears in to various degrees. But this is certainly a time-tested look and one fans on sneaker forums have wished to return soon.
