Today’s Daily Jordan remembers the B’2rue, a hoops sneaker from 2006 that dared to imagine a new kind of Air Jordan XI “Concord” storming basketball courts everywhere. Not sure that’s exactly what happened but the Concord part definitely did. The overall shape – especially the toe box – the patent leather, the clear sole is unmistakably XI. In theory, it’s a good idea. You got a basketball shoe that replicated the striking good looks of one of your favorite shoes, and you didn’t have to mess up that favorite shoe. The B’2rue was a stunt double!

This pair is available now by unitedshoesofamerica on eBay but a little search time should turn up additional pairs and colorways. The B’2rue came in Black/Concord “Space Jam” and Cool Grey configurations, as well as less circulated white/grey, white/obsidian and white/green looks. Do you remember the Jordan B’2rue?
